Hi, I’m Justin Moriarty, your neighbor, a certified real property appraiser, and a candidate for Wahkiakum County Assessor. I’m running because I believe local government should be accurate, fair, and grounded in real community values. As someone who works in the Assessor’s Office and served on the Board of Equalization, I see firsthand the importance of doing the job right and doing it with integrity.
I’ve spent my career in real estate and property valuation, earning my certification as a residential real property appraiser and dedicating myself to objective, data-driven public service. I joined the Wahkiakum County Assessor’s Office in October 2024 and previously served on the Board of Equalization, where I advocated for taxpayers and ensured fair hearing processes.
I moved to Wahkiakum County in 2021 because I saw something special here, tight-knit communities, open skies, and neighbors who genuinely look out for each other. I’m proud to call this place home.
Wahkiakum County needs a strong, qualified Assessor, someone who understands the technical demands of the role and cares deeply about the people behind the properties. I’m running because I believe you deserve fair assessments, transparent communication, and a public office that treats everyone with dignity and respect. This isn’t about politics, it’s about professionalism. I’m committed to safeguarding taxpayer trust and helping move Wahkiakum forward with honesty, balance, and fiscal accountability.
You’ll find me at public events, open mic nights, local meetings, and around town, not because it’s campaign season, but because I believe in showing up and listening. Whether you have a question about your property value or just want to chat about the future of our county, I’m here for it. If elected, I’ll continue to serve with openness and accessibility, making it easier for everyone to understand their assessments, voice concerns, and receive clear, timely answers from their government.
This campaign isn’t powered by politics, it’s powered by people like you. Whether you’re ready to volunteer, endorse, host a yard sign, or simply reach out, I’d be honored to connect. Together, we can bring strong leadership, accountability, and real fairness to the Assessor’s Office.
