I’m Justin Moriarty, and I’m running for Wahkiakum County Assessor to bring experience, and steady leadership to a role that touches every resident, every business, and every public budget in Wahkiakum County. That means the Assessor must be more than competent, they must be committed. They must be transparent, responsive, and ready to lead with precision, not politics.
I’m a certified residential real property appraiser with a background in accurate, defensible property valuation. I’ve worked inside the Wahkiakum County Assessor’s Office since 2024 and served before that on the Board of Equalization, where I listened to taxpayers, reviewed appeals, and helped ensure fairness and transparency in the process. I’ve seen firsthand how important it is that this office be run by someone who knows the work and takes it seriously.
Since moving to Wahkiakum in 2021, I’ve made this community my home and my priority. I’ve built a reputation for straight answers, strong documentation, and real respect for the public I serve. That’s how I work and that’s how I’ll lead.
This office isn’t about politics. It’s about trust and consistency. After a period of turnover and staffing challenges in the Assessor’s Office and across many parts of county government, Wahkiakum needs qualified professionals who are ready to stay, serve, and provide long-term stability. I’m committed to doing exactly that.
The people of Wahkiakum deserve an Assessor who is qualified, responsive, and focused on doing the job right, every single day. I’m ready to lead with fairness, integrity, and professional accountability. And I’m here to stay.
Thank you for your trust and for your high expectations.
